Mediation

Mediation is a way of resolving private civil and commercial disputes outside the courts. It is, in essence, an assisted negotiation: with the help of an impartial and neutral third party, the parties look for a workable solution that both can accept.

At our firm the process is led by Areti Skafida, an accredited mediator of the Greek Ministry of Justice.

Why consider mediation

Speed

A considerably shorter process than going to court.

Cost

Lower cost than a dispute that runs for years.

Confidentiality

Whatever is discussed stays strictly between the parties.

Preserved relationships

An amicable atmosphere protects family and professional ties.

The parties always retain the right to go to court, regardless of whether they take part in mediation.
